Proposal 1: Addition of ÒNSCA Tournament MembershipÓ to the NSCA Bylaws

NSCA Board Sponsor:

Ben Ryan – Secretary

Proposed Bylaw Update:

For a fee of $2, players are able to participate in events that require NSCA membership.  These include all POY events as well as NSCA Championship/Title events. (see exception below)

1)    The Tournament Membership (TM) will receive 1 free issue of The Gambit.

2)    Within 60 days after the completion of the event, the player may convert the TM into a full NSCA membership and receive a $1 credit toward the cost of full NSCA membership.

3)    If converted, the full NSCA membership will expire one year after conversion/purchase of the full NSCA membership.

4)    The TM is only good for entry in the one event where it is purchased.

5)    A TM may not be used to fulfill the NSCA membership requirement for the NSCA Closed Championship.  Participants of the Closed Championship must purchase a full NSCA membership prior to the start of the 1st round of the Closed Championship.

Proposal 2: NSCA Closed Championship Qualifiers, required POY status

NSCA Board Sponsor:

Ben Ryan – Secretary

Proposed Bylaw Update:

Events that are run as Qualifiers for the NSCA Closed Championship are required to be POY events.

1)    All rules and stipulations of POY events apply to these events the same as any other POY event.

2)    Current NSCA Closed Championship Qualifier Events are the Cornhusker State Games (2), the Great Plains Open (1), and the MidWest Open.
